Welcome to The Miners’ 9 Big Cup Scramble
We’re thrilled to have you join us for a round of great golf, camaraderie, food and prizes.
Whether you’re here to compete or just enjoy golf and good company, we hope this
tournament brings smiles, memories, and maybe even a few birdies!
Tournament Format: 4-Person Scramble
In a scramble, all players tee off on each hole. The team then selects the best shot and
all players play their next shot from that spot. This process continues until the ball is
holed.
Official Rules
Shotgun Start @ 9am. Please arrive 30 minutes early to check in.
Team Composition:
Each team consists of 4 players.
Ball Placement:
After selecting the best shot, all players place their ball within one club length (no
closer to the hole) from the chosen ball’s position without changing the lie
Scoring
Keep one official scorecard per team. Please have the other team confirm and
sign your card. Turn it in at the clubhouse immediately after your round.
Etiquette
Please maintain pace of play with the group in front of you
NO Carts in Long Grass areas
Hole Proxies
Closest to pin Hole 5/14
– Ball must be on putting green surface
Longest Putt on Hole 9/18
– Ball must be on putting green surface
Closest to the Keg on Hole 4/13
– Person with a ball closest to the keg in the fairway wins a round of drinks
for the team following the tournament. Ball does not have to be used by
team to win.
Tee Boxes By Age:
All male golfers under the age of 70 play from the White/Blue tees. Male golfers 70+
play from the Green/Black tees.
All women golfers play from the Red/Yellow tees.
You must complete your 9 holes before changing Tee Boxes. Ex…If you start on #4
white tees, you must play though #3 white tees before changing to Blue Tee on #13
TIES:
Flighted Tournament determined by how many team entries
All ties for 1st, 2nd, 3rd will be broken by:
Counting back using the highest handicap hole.
SKINS:
Skins will be determined after the round and paid out to each team.
FOOD:
Our outdoor grill will be open to purchase brats and burgers starting at 11am-1pm.
Tournament meal to be served immediately following the end of play, approx 2:30pm
