A True Upper Peninsula Golf Experience

Built during Iron River’s mining boom, The Miners’ Nine Golf Course began as a private spot for mine bosses before opening its fairways to the community. Set on the old Hiawatha Mine site, the course still carries that history in its contours and natural terrain. The original Langford & Moreau design from golf’s Golden Age guides the layout today, and with multiple tee boxes, our 9-hole course often plays like a full 18. It’s a genuine piece of Upper Peninsula golf history—shaped by the land, the community, and the story of Iron River.

Playing by the Rules

Miners’ Nine uses USGA rules and some local guidelines to keep play consistent and respectful of the course. You can view the full rules before you head out.
